The Armstrong Christadelphians meet regularly to worship God, remember Jesus Christ, study the Bible, and spend time together.

About

Our name is a combination of two Greek words and means “Brethren in Christ”. We are a group of quite ordinary people who base our beliefs on the Bible, which we believe to be the inspired Word of God, and which, we are convinced, has a very definite message for these difficult and troubling times.

The Christadelphians were established about 150 years ago and since then we have striven consistently to bring Bible teachings to the notice of the public in both personal and group settings. It is the aim of our members to live lives as best we can in harmony with that of Jesus.

We have found great joy and comfort in our beliefs, which we wish to share with others, especially with those who are worried by the stress of modern times. Should you have any questions, or desire any literature, we would be delighted to share with you.

Our Story

Core Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God’s only revealed message to mankind, given to bring responsive individuals to the obedience of faith. The Bible is our only authority, and we teach that is should be read prayerfully and with care at every opportunity. (Rom. 16:26; Jn. 17:17; Acts 17:11) Certain key teachings stand out.

01

The Bible

There is only one eternal, immortal God. Jesus Christ is His only begotten Son, and the Holy Spirit is His power. (Isa. 45:5; 1 Tim. 1:17; Eph. 4:6; Lk. 1:35; Acts 1:8; Lk. 24:49)

02

God

Man is mortal and a sinner before God. His whole being is prone to sin, and the punishment for sin is death – real death, the end of all life. (Job 4:17; Rom. 3:23; Jer. 17:9; Mk. 7:21-23; Rom. 6:23; Ecc. 9:1-6; Psa. 146:4)

03

Man

In His love, God sent the man Jesus into the world to save men from their sins. Those who believe on him will not perish, but have everlasting life. (Mt. 1:21; Jn. 3:16)

04

Jesus

The only hope of life after death is the resurrection of the body and everlasting life in God’s Kingdom on earth. (Psa. 49:12-20; 1 Cor. 15:12-50; Rom. 8:23-35; Acts 24:15; Jn. 11:25; Rev. 5:10; 20:4)

05

Hope

Jesus was sinless. He died to show the righteousness of God and to redeem those who receive this sacrifice by faith. God raised him from the dead, gave him immortality, granted him all authority in heaven and on earth, and set him as the mediator in heaven between God and man. (Acts 2:23-36; Eph. 1:19-23; 1 Tim. 2:5; Heb. 4:14-16; Rom. 3:21-26)

06

Sacrifice of Christ

Jesus will return to the earth soon. At that time he will raise many of the dead, judge them with the living, and give his faithful followers everlasting life in the Kingdom of God. (Rev. 22:12; Lk. 21:20-32; Jn. 5:28-29; Dan. 12:2; 2 Tim. 4:1; Mt. 25:34)

07

Return of Christ

The Kingdom of God will be established on earth with Jesus as King. His capital will be Jerusalem, his dominion will be worldwide, and his government will bring righteousness and peace without end. (Dan. 2:44; 7:27; Acts 3:21; Jer. 3:17; Isa. 2:2-4; Psa. 72; Dan. 7:14; Isa. 9:6-9; 11:1-9; 61:1-11)

08

Kingdom of God

The Gospel is inseparable from the promises which God made to Abraham and David in Old Testament times. These promises find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ. (Gal. 3:6-9, 16, 25-29; 2 Pet. 1:2-4; Gen. 14:14-17; 22:15-18; 2 Sam. 7:12-16; Lk. 1:31-33)

09

The Promises

The way to enter the Kingdom of God is by faith. This involves belief in His Word – the Bible – and obedience to its requirements that men and women confess their sins, repent, be baptized, and follow Jesus faithfully. (Heb. 11:6; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:15; Acts 2:37; Mk. 16:16; Jn. 3:3-5; Mt. 16:24-27)
